So I haven't posted in forever and a lot has happened since then but basically I took my step 1 of the boards and hated it. I had my white coat ceremony on the 28th of June and a little reception at my house afterwards that went well. Oh Michael and Jennifer bought a house and had a house warming the weekend before my white coat.
Ok so now that you're all caught up this week I started rotations. I have peds first and my first part of peds is the newborn nursery. So I have now done exams on several newborns, written discharges, progress notes, and prescriptions (I can't sign them though). I saw a C-section two days ago and the next time I'll get to carry the baby from the table to the nurses to clean it off without any stops because I dropped him/her hopefully. It's kind of tiring even though I'm on probably the easiest rotation I will have but it's stressful and tiring and Brandon left yesterday so that didn't help the situation very much.
Tomorrow is the 4th and I'm off (woohoo) so we're all going down to the bay for food and fireworks. This will be our 3rd week of cooking for a family event and we're all a little exhausted with that but we should still have good food tomorrow.
I'm not going to say I will post regularly but I will try and rachel will continue to annoy me to post it seems to work. Happy 4th everyone.
