COT bound

Well I'm headed off to boot camp, or as everyone that has been through actual boot camp likes to call it baby boot camp/boot camp at the Ritz. Yes it won't be like real boot camp but it's still a boot camp for me so whatever. I'm leaving in about an hour and I'm kinda excited/nervous/scared but I think I'll be okay. I'm fairly athletic even if I am out of shape they can get me back into shape. I haven't been pushed since I played sports in high school so I'm kinda looking forward to that.

In other news I've basically been doing a lot of nothing. Just hanging out and being a blob (also a little excited about not being a blob for the next month). I saw Fantastic 4 with Alex on Saturday and it was pretty good, there will more then likely be another one of those coming eventually. After the movie we went down to the bay and made a drag shrimping, ate a lot of food and shot an enormous amount of fireworks. No one was burned this year and no lives were threatened like last year when one of the big ones fell over and started shooting at me and Kim (fun times).

Sunday we went to church and then had lunch with the fam. Again an enormous amount of food as always, it was really good though. Mom got me a card that plays I will survive when you open it and the males at the table (Daddy Michael) discussed how easy I was going to have it compared to real boot camp. When discussing not to lock my knees while standing in formation because I'll pass out Michael said, "But if you do see if they can tape it or something so I can watch it." I love you too Michael. Dad says I'll be fine, Michael says I'm puny and might make it...puny is not something I would really consider myself lol but we'll see. I said all my good byes to the fam. Hopefully we get off base privileges quickly so I can also go see Kim before she leaves for Maryland.

I guess I should load up the car now. I will have my phone during non-duty hours and will probably have internet in a week-ish. I'll be through with COT on August 3rd and then back to school on the 13th. I'll try to keep everyone posted and actually update this thing when I get the net.
