Memorial Weekend

First of all before I get to the memorial weekend, I am still here and will be here until July thanks to slow moving paperwork. But I do have my official orders for COT on 2 July 2007, and must report to Maxwell air force base that day between 1300 and 1800 hours, fun times. Until then I will hopefully be getting into shape. I have so many left overs right now that I just can't let go to waste so I will start eating better when they are gone and the working out will start June 1st.

Saturday we went to the Bay for a memorial day/me being commissioned thing. Twas much fun. We rode the jet ski, swam with the kids ate soooo much food and generally had a good time. One bad moment was when I had to help with the refueling the jet ski and Michael managed to pour gas on both of us...I had to shower and change out of my bathing suit it was burning so bad but other then that it was a good day.

Sunday was church. Dad being the sentimental fool he is had talked to the preacher about my getting commissioned and having officer training so he had dad stand up and announce all this to the church (and of course me too), mom cried...it was a great. I did get to stand up with my dad though as a member of the military so that was cool. They had one of the kids (who has an amazing voice) sing the star spangled banner acapella and then we did the pledge, it was pretty moving.
Oh and I don't think I've posted about this but last Thursday I had dinner with Kelly and Rach at Kelly's apartment. It is an amazingly cute place downtown and we had a ton of fun. I need to hang out with Kelly more often and Rach whenever you're here or if we get out to Texas this summer. Okay that was really long, so I'll quit.
